Introduction

Premier Gaming Leagues emphasizes sportsmanship above all else. If winning is more important to you and your team than respecting your opponents and the league this is the wrong place for you. Our rules are based on fair play and respect for each other. Each team will show respect for your opponents and respect for the "beautiful game". All players are expected to uphold principals of sportsmanship and fair play at all times and will refrain from running up the score. Communication will be polite and the use of offensive or abusive language will not be tolerated. Trash talking in any form is prohibited during or after games. Each team will play fairly without the use of known glitches or cheats. Non-sportsmanship like behavior will result in your team’s removal from the league. Head sets are required during game play.

Game-Play

All leagues at Premier Gaming Leagues are "sim" leagues. That is to say we attempt to simulate real sports as best we can while understanding we are playing a video game. To that end the following sim rules must be followed at all times:

  • Excessive slide tackling is prohibited.
  • Using a formation that contains more than 3 forwards upfront is prohibited.
  • Each team can only have 2 players playing as a forward.

Failure to adhere to game-play rules will result in your teams removal from the league.

Rosters

Each team must have a minimum of 2 players on the roster. You must have one designated team captain who will be responsible for scheduling games and ensuring the team is available to play. A game cannot start with less than 3 players per side. The maximum number of players in a game is 6. Each team may select up to 2 players to play the “any” position. All other players must select a position. Every player on every roster must be registered at www.premiergamingleagues .com

Scheduling Games

Scheduling games must be done by the captains using the scheduling threads on the forums. If your team will be unavailable for a period of time you must notify the league commissioner and your opponents. In addition, post a message in  the open forum with the dates that your team will be unavailable.

Season Schedule

Games must be played in order. Teams will play each other home and away. With 7 teams for Season III we will play a total of 14 games. Each week you play the same opponent twice. Each week will run from Saturday to the following Sunday. The weekly deadline to play the game is Sunday at Midnight ET. Deadlines will be strictly enforced. Teams that miss a deadline will be given a yellow card league infraction. Accumulate 3 yellow cards in a season and your team will be removed from the league.

Champion

The team at the top of the table at the end of the season will be crowned FPL Season II Champion.

Team Statistics

The Captain of the winning team will record and submit the game result.

The following statistics will be tracked;

  1. Team wins, losses, ties, goals for, goals against, and goal difference.
  2. Individual goals scored by Gamertag.
  3. Individual assists by Gamertag.
Disciplinary Actions

Teams that do not complete games by the weekly Sunday deadline need to file a DMR (Deadline Missed Report) with the commissioners by the end of day every Monday. The DMR needs to include the games missed and the reason for missing the deadline. Those that do not complete a DMR will be given a Yellow Card league infraction. DMR's need to be approved by the commissioners to avoid a league infraction. Accumulate 3 yellow cards and you will be given a Red Card league infraction and removed from the league. If you receive two consecutive yellow cards you will given a red card league infraction and removed from the league. The DMR can be found on the About Us section of the league web site. Premier Gaming Leagues reserves the right to remove owners immediately if a situation warrants such action.

If a margin of victory of 5 goals or more is achieved you are subject to a yellow card investigation.

If a margin of victory of 6 goals or more is achieved you will receive a yellow card league infraction.

Disconnect Rule

If two entire teams get disconnected during a match the following rules will apply;

If disconnect occurs in the 1st half – restart the game from the beginning unless the disconnect occurs after the 40th minute. If the disconnect occurs after the 40th minute play just one half and carry over the score from the first half disconnect.

If the disconnect occurs in the 2nd half – restart the 2nd half unless the disconnect occurs after the 85th minute. If the disconnect occurs after the 85th minute the score at the time of disconnect will be the final score.

For individual disconnects, the following rules will apply;

  1. If a player is disconnected from a game in the first half you should re-start the game, regardless of the position he plays.
  2. If a position player (non-any) is dropped in the second half continue the game as long as you have the 4 player minimum on your team.
  3. If an "any" player drops in the second half you should re-start the game.
  4. If at anytime a player is dropped from a game and you fall below the 4 player minimum you must re-start the game.
  5. Game disconnects need to be reported to the league commisioner via PM.
