FCRL Rules

Introduction

The rules are based on fair play and respect for each other. Each owner will show respect for your opponents and respect for the "beautiful game". Owners are expected to uphold principals of sportsmanship and fair play at all times and will refrain from running up the score. Communication will be polite and the use of offensive or abusive language will not be tolerated. Each owner will play fairly without the use of known glitches or cheats. Non-sportsmanship like behavior could result in your removal from the league. Head sets are required during game play. If owners continue to apply pressure with a large lead and "run up the score" against opponents it will lead to your removal from the league. We are a "Sim-style" league based on fair play and SPORTSMANSHIP above all else.

Team & Player Draft

Starting Squad (11 players) – 891 Draft Points

First 11 rounds MUST be your starting squad

You MUST draft in starting 11 :

1 GK (Orange)
3 DEF (Yellow)
3 MID (Green)
2 FWD (Blue)

Other 2 players in starting 11 can be at your discretion for position.

RESERVES (Very Important)

We will draft 7 reserve players. You must draft :

1 DEF (Yellow)
2 MID (Green)
1 FWD (Blue)
1 GK

Other 2 players in reserves can be at your discretion for position.

**NO RESERVE PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO BE RATED HIGHER THAN ANYONE IN YOUR STARTING 11** Be careful!

Player Positioning

GK may not play in the field.
You must play players in a Sim style. FWDS should NOT be playing defense unless in their eligible positions it says they can. This is a gray rule, but be logical here.

Contracts

You are allowed to have (but don’t have to) 5 contracts at once in the following manner:

2 Year contract (Current year plus 1 more) to 3 players
3 Year contract (Current year plus 2 more) to 2 players

**If you give someone a contract, there cost will raise by 2 points more than you paid for them each season. (90 rated player will be 90 pts in Year 1, 92 points in 2nd year & 94 in 3rd year if they are on a 3 year contract.** This also means if we have a roster update, they are locked in from their original price bought plus the increases.

You may eliminate/cancel a contract, but it will cost your team:
5 points for each season left on the contract.

Contracts may be issued to Current players up until start of the transfer window.

Transfers/Transfer Window

Transfers will be allowed in a 2 week window. It will begin with the start of the 3rd to last week of the season. All transfers must be submitted by the start of the last week and final approval will be done by the day after. These players will be eligible in the final week and the playoffs.

Players acquired in the transfer window will automatically be one of your Draft Point Picks in next season(First 11).

Players acquired in transfer window will go up 1 point from their current value for the next season. This means if you pick up a player and he will be in Year 2 of a contract, it will be up 3 pts total from original value. You are allowed to give a contract to these players for up to an extended 3 seasons, but the 2 pt mor per season will apply.

Transfers must still fall within your team point cap. (This means you cannot trade a Reserve for a First 11 pick). Only First 11 pick for First 11 pick) or Reserve for Reserve. If you do Reserve for Reserve, the reserve cannot be rated higher than any of your First 11 picks.)

Team & Player Formations

Any "Sim style" formations may be used (4-3-3, 3-5-2, 5-4-1, etc).

Scheduling Games

All games must be played in order. Any game played in advance without prior consent of the league commissioner will be voided and re-played. Scheduling games should be done using the Schedule Center threads in the forums. This is very important. Using Xbox live exclusively to schedule games is not acceptable. You must post in the contact thread to show that you are making an effort to schedule games. Again, very important! If you are having difficulties scheduling a game let me know. If you will be unavailable for a period of time you must PM the commissioner and post in the contact thread so your opponents are aware. Communication is very important.

Season Schedules

Each team plays each other twice, home and away within your division. For Season II we will also have inter-division games (5 total). We will play 2 games per week against the same opponent.

Tie Breakers

1. Winning Pct (Games won divided by games played)
2. Head to Head using Points
3. Goals Against
4. One game playoff

Playoffs

12 teams make the playoffs.

We will have 4 groups broke up like this: (ex- A1 = 1st place Division A)

  • Group A (A1, B4, B6)
  • Group B (B2, A3, B5)
  • Group C (B1, A4, A6)
  • Group D (A2, B3, A5)

Each team will get one home game of the 2.  The winners of each group will move on to the semi-finals.
For Group stage, Tie Breaker rules are as follows:
1. Winning Pct (Games won divided by games played)
2. Head to Head using Points
3. Goals Against
4. One game playoff

This means you do not need to crush your opponent in the group stage just like regular season.

Semi-finals will be a Home and Away using aggregate.
Finals will be Home and Away using aggregate.

There is no goal rule in the semi-finals and finals.

Disciplinary Actions - GNP Policy

If you have 6 Games Not Played (GNP)  - automatic yellow card and placed on probation.

If you have 8 Games Not Played (GNP) - automatic red card and you will be removed from the league and suspended from all PGL leagues for 3 months.

If you quit a league without a valid reason you will be given a red card and suspended from all PGL leagues for 6 months.

Keep in mind we usually play 2 games per week therefor 6 GNP is equal to 3 weeks worth of games. In addition, those that continuelly abuse this rule, and consistently have 5 GNP throughout the season could have their league rights suspended as well.

Premier Gaming Leagues reserves the right to remove owners immediately if a situation warrants such action.

If an owner is going to be out of town for any reason (vacation, work, etc.) you must post in the Out of Town Thread the dates you will be unavailable to play.

If a margin of victory of over 5 goals is achieved you are subject to a yellow card investigation.

  • If the disconnect occurs in the 2nd half – restart the 2nd half unless the disconnect occurs after the 85th minute. If the disconnect occurs after the 85th minute the score at the time of disconnect will be the final score
