EPSL League Rules
Introduction
The rules are based on fair play and respect for each other. Each owner will show respect for your opponents and respect for the "beautiful game". Owners are expected to uphold principals of sportsmanship and fair play at all times and will refrain from running up the score. Communication will be polite and the use of offensive or abusive language will not be tolerated. Each owner will play fairly without the use of known glitches or cheats. Non-sportsmanship like behavior could result in your removal from the league. Head sets are required during game play. If owners continue to apply pressure with a large lead and "run up the score" against opponents it will lead to your removal from the league. We are a "Sim-style" league based on fair play and SPORTSMANSHIP above all else.

Team Draft
A draft will determine team selection. For the EPSL, all English Premier League teams are eligible to be drafted. The draft order will be determined by the order of finish in the table, so the last place team will select first, first place team selects last. New owners will be placed after returning owners by random order.
Scheduling Games
Scheduling games should be done using the Schedule Center threads in the forums. This is very important. Using Xbox live exclusively to schedule games is not acceptable. You must post in the contact thread to show that you are making an effort to schedule games. If you are having difficulties scheduling a game let a league commissioner know. If you will be unavailable for a period of time you must PM the commissioner and post in the contact thread so your opponents are aware.
Either owner may start a scheduling thread. Just starting the thread is not enough to say you tried scheduling the game. We will use the following when looking to see if an effort to schedule was made:
Neither owner starts a scheduling thread = Both owners receive a Yellow Card
One owner starts scheduling thread & other does not respond = Owner not responding gets Yellow Card
Posting only once during that current week, but game is unplayed by deadline = Warning (2 warnings = Yellow Card)
Posting only one day during that current week, but game is unplayed by deadline = Warning (2 warnings = Yellow Card)
We will open first 3 weeks of the schedule at the beginng, but only the first week will be due within that first week. The others will have a different deadline (ie 2nd week will be due the following Sunday, 3rd week the one after that, etc.) As long as 90 percent of games are up to date, we will always open another week and be 3 weeks open. If we are below the 90 percent, we will not open another week for games to be played.
GAMES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE PLAYED IN ADVANCE THAT ARE NOT OPENED. Anyone that does not follow this, will be subject to a Yellow Card.
Season Schedules
We will play 2 games per week against different opponents. We will be using the EA site to play games and track things. Also the winner of each game will be required to submit the scores of the games here on the PGL League pages.
League Standings
We will NOT be using the standings from the EA site b/c it takes into effect goals scored. We do not promote blowing an opponent out just to have a higher goal differential. We will award the winner of the league based on points first and then use the following when determing tie breakers:
Tie Breakers
1. Winning PCT
2. Head to Head (points)
3. Goals Against
4. One Game Playoff
Disciplinary Actions
If a margin of victory of over 5 goals is achieved you are subject to a yellow card investigation. Playing games on time and meeting weekly league deadlines is taken very seriouslly here at PGL. The following rules govern games not played; Premier Gaming Leagues takes pride in being a gaming site that places sportsmanship above all else. We reserve the right to remove any person that does not uphold the principals of sportsmanhip. Trash talking, publicly calling out another owner or commissioner, running up the score, using know glitches and cheese play to gain an unfair advantage are strictly prohibited and will result in your removal from the league. Premier Gaming Leagues reserves the right to remove owners immediately if a situation warrants such action.
Match Results
The Team Owner for the WINNER of the game will enter the score via the Fixtures/Results link on the league menu. Next to the date in the header is a button. Click on the button and a new screen will open that displays the game to be edited. Simply enter the scores for both teams in the boxes on the right and click save.
Game Statistics No game statistics are kept for this league. All statistics are kept on the EA servers.
Disconnect Rule
If two teams get disconnected during a match the following rules will apply: Owners are to try and put the game back to where the score was. This means you let your opponent score to make the score back to where it was when the disconnect happened. If an owner is caught delibaretely caught disconnecting a game on purpose they will be removed from the league and immediately suspended and investigated with possibly being banned from PGL.
